Proactive socialization training

Doggy excursion

It is common knowledge that socialization is crucial for puppies during 3-12 weeks of age, but it’s actually important for all dogs of all ages. Socialization isn’t just having your puppy play with other puppies. Proactive socialization is the process of exposing puppies and dogs to novel environmental and social stimuli in a positive, favorable way. Stimuli include people, dogs, noises, objects, places, etc. Proactive socialization empowers dogs to build confidence in situations and helps to prevent fearful, aggressive, or reactive behavior. Let us save you time and do this for you, without you needing to be there.

Great for:

  • Busy dog parents

  • Puppies during their prime socialization period

  • Rescues getting adjusted to a new place

  • Friendly vet visits

Includes:

  • 30-minute virtual consultation before the first session to identify socialization goals

  • Plan customized to the dog’s temperament and goals for socialization

  • Pickup and drop off, if a field trip is planned

  • Each session typically lasts 1 hour with short breaks in between

  • Summary report with photos (and video when possible)
